Entries Open for Three England Grand Prix Events
Entries are now open for three England Grand Prix events which include the England Masters Grand Prix, the England Development Grand Prix, and the England Para Powerlifting Grand Prix
All of the competitions will be hosted at Stantonbury Theatre in Milton Keynes between the 2nd & 3rd of November 2019
Lifters wishing to compete in any of these competitions can register online via the Sport 80 platform.
The England Masters Grand Prix is a Tier 2 competition which will see weightlifters in each age group crowned Champion of England.
The minimum age to compete is 35+ on 31 December 2019 and all entrants must have achieved the qualification standard at a competition registered with BWL in the previous 12 months.
The England Development Grand Prix is a Tier 3 competition which will take place during the weekend and is a fantastic opportunity for lifters aged 12 and below (on 31 December 2019) to experience competitive weightlifting.
There are no qualification standards for the development competition, but individuals must have previously competed in a BWL Tier 3 competition.
The England Para Powerlifting Grand Prix is the premier para powerlifting competition in England and will see four lifters crowned Champion of England.
There are no qualification standards, but all lifters must be able to complete the bench press with a minimum of 20kg.
Every lifter wishing to compete in the England Para Powerlifting Grand Prix must also provide BWL with the complete IPC Eligibility Agreement the IPC Medical Declaration Form and a signed letter from you GP stating you are medically safe to compete in para powerlifting.
